Mrs. Zimbaldi's Multilingual Class

Welcome to Our Multilingual Classroom!

Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Zimbaldi, and I am so excited to be working with the K-5 English Language Learners (ELLs) of Robertsville Elementary School this year!

I hold a Master's degree in Language Education and have earned teaching certifications in English as a Second Language (ESL), Elementary Education, and Special Education. Over the past 7 years, I’ve had the joy of teaching ELLs of all ages. This is my 4th year teaching in Marlboro Township, but my first year at Robertsville, and I’m truly looking forward to building connections with this new community of learners and their families!

In our multilingual classroom, students build skills in the four main areas of language—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—through meaningful content-area instruction. This approach helps students grow both academically and socially. Lessons are designed to expand vocabulary, foster collaboration, and build confidence. In addition to English, students will also learn about American culture while celebrating and taking pride in their own cultures, heritage, and multilingual abilities. Above all, my goal is to create a welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged as they progress on their English language learning journey.

I strongly believe that student success is built on close partnerships between home and school. I look forward to working with you this year to support your child’s growth and to celebrate all of their achievements.

Our ESL program also offers a district-wide Family Literacy program in the evenings, designed to strengthen the connection between families and the school. Through a variety of engaging activities, this program helps parents and guardians build language and literacy skills alongside their children. Stay tuned for more information about this.

Here’s to a year full of learning and growth!
