I can't believe the school year has come to an end. I know this was not the kind of year we expected it to be. I want you to all know how PROUD I am of all your hard work this year. Whether it was in the classroom or through virtual learning, you all amazed me with your progress. I know your second grade teachers will be so impressed with you when they meet you. Even though you are moving onto second grade, I will always be here for you. I would love for you to stop by my classroom and say hello so I can hear how you are doing. To figure out if a word is a verb say: Can I do it?
Example: walk, jump, read, write are all words we can do, so they are verbs.

Use the first word in a good, juicy sentence. Underline the Word Wall Word that you used.
Go to the next line.
Write a number 2.
Write a sentence with the second word. Underline the Word Wall Word that you used.
Continue in the same way until you have written all five sentences.
Check each sentence to make sure they make sense. Remember to use a capital letter and end mark.

We celebrate Earth Day to learn about ways to protect our planet.
